bleeding colour
bleeding prints / inky illustrations by irana / gradient colour / prismatic effects / rorschach inkblots / surreal landscapes by ƒenk / leaking light by paper.lilies / bornite and smoky quartz paintings by carlybird / oil rainbow by christopher landin / colourful georgette dresses from akris spring 2009 / hand dyed fabric swatches /
Attempts to improve my dyeing skills are still ongoing. My favourite part of the process is collecting the swatches of dyed fabric and compiling them in a sketchbook. Details of the dyeing process and water/powder ratios sit alongside said swatches and the occasional splash of accidental colour. Forget the final result, this is by far more fun! The whole thing is becoming quite time consuming (and messy) but I’m sure worthwhile. It doesn’t help that I am being incredibly fussy but hopefully I will have something to show you soon. Until then, I wanted to share a collection of images which have been inspiring me over the past few weeks.

This is going to sound so cheesy, but never the less, I still find my fingers spelling it out. I am a relative new comer to your blog, I really like your collections of photographs. They always are so fresh and in some small way ahead of themselves. Does that make sense? No idea. Never mind! They look great. Always.

I always feel that my inspiration themes are a little dated but perhaps that is just because I have all the images around me for so long before I blog them in one post… anyway, I appreciate your kind words!

If every color really create specific emotion, those all thogether for sure works refreshing. Wearing bright, bleeding colours may tribiute to good humor as well :D
