Science and nature collide in an amalgamation of organic form and sharp detailing.
A selection of images from a project initiated last year around the time of the Spring/Summer 2009 collections. I gathered inspiration from collections such as Balenciaga, Prada and Givenchy. A beetle’s armoured shell influences silhouette and cut, mixed with the smooth contours of laboratory equipment. Molecular structures influence gem encrusted detailing, paired with blurred prints.
